If you are coming straight to our group classes, we recommend you start with a Basic class.
If you have practised Pilates before, we still recommend coming to our Basic class to familiarise yourself with the studio, our instructors and the A2 Allegro reformers.
If you have any aches and pains the ideal way to start your journey is through an initial Pilates assessment with an experienced physiotherapist at our affiliate business – George Street Physiotherapy and Pilates.
The Physiotherapists at George Street Physiotherapy all highly experienced and specialise in clinical Pilates, movement control and strength and training.
Once you have had your 1:1 Pilates assessment you will be guided as to where to start at the studio and the physiotherapist will advise our instructors of any modifications that might be required.
Please arrive 5-10 mins prior to your first class to meet with your instructor, get familiar with the studio and talk about any special requests you may have.
We recommend all our clients enter the studio via the back entrance. This is on the corner of George and Sewell street, behind the restaurant Salsa Rossa, there is a courtyard and gate to enter.
There is a sitting room as you enter to enjoy before you head into your class.
We have two studios – downstairs and upstairs. Please ensure you check when you book as to which studio your class will be in.
Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or limitations before the class starts. Our experienced instructors can modify and direct you with exercises during the class.
There is plenty of free street parking along George Street and the surrounding Plympton Ward streets. Please allow plenty of time to get to class during peak times.
A water bottle. We have cold filtered water at the studio for you to refill your bottle.
Grip socks. These are compulsory for hygiene purposes and are available to purchase at the studio.
Please come dressed in exercise clothing, allowing you to move freely and comfortably.
During your 2 week trial, it is highly recommended to come to at least a few classes per week to get a feel for the studio, the classes and the different instructor styles.
As an ongoing basis, at least two to three times a week is optimum to allow results and progression of your practice.
We understand that things happen and you may need to cancel a class you have booked in for.
Out of consideration to waitlisted clients, we ask that you cancel your class through MINDBODY at least 8 hours before the class begins.
We don’t accept cancellations made by phone, text, email or social media messages.
If a class is full you can book a place on the waitlist.
When/if another client cancels out, the first person on the waitlist is automatically bumped into the class.
If a place becomes available for you, you will be notified through MINDBODY by email or text. If you fail to respond, MINDBODY will automatically assume your acceptance.
If you are on a waitlist please ensure you are ready to come to class! You can be added to the class up to one hour before the class starts.
When adding yourself to the waitlist you are committing to attend that class if a space becomes available.
If you are no longer able to attend, please take yourself off the list.
You can manage a waitlist class from your schedule just like a regular booking. You will need to do this to avoid any late cancellation or no show fees.
Please make sure you have enabled text and email notifications so you can keep up to date with all general updates around all classes including waitlisted classes.
We recommend that children under 15 years of age and younger do not participate in adult Pilates sessions due to their bodies not yet being fully developed.

If you are nearing the age of 16 and want to try our classes, we recommend that you have an initial assessment with the Physiotherapists at George Street Physiotherapy prior to commencing classes with us at PCWA.
